On Sunday, October 26, over thirty workers at Sysco in Egg Harbor City, NJ ratified a new union contract!

Through hard bargaining, we are proud to announce that the new four-year contract provides Sysco members with the highest wage increases ever achieved! Additionally, the committee was able to raise the 401K match percentage, offering our members an opportunity to save more for retirement.

Because most of our members work as drivers and don’t usually work together, the new contract establishes a “Joint Labor Management Committee,” consisting of bargaining unit members, a union representative, and management. This committee will meet regularly to discuss items of concern, offering workers a formal opportunity to have their voices heard.

Congratulations to our members for this historic win! This contract could not have been achieved without the union negotiating committee, which included Director of Collective Bargaining Lou Faiola, Bargaining Representative Peter White, Union Representative Matte Kane, Shop Steward Brian Barrett, and members Rondell Vaughan and Paul Hoster.
