On Wednesday, February 15th, UFCW Local 152 members who work for Environmental Service Concepts at Tanger Outlets in Atlantic City, New Jersey ratified a new union contract!

The three-year agreement improves the lives of our members in many ways. First, all members will receive an immediate wage increase followed by large annual increases for the life of the contract.

To aid in the retirement savings for members, the employer agreed to increase the savings plan contribution rate each year for the contract’s duration! Additionally, members maintained 100% employer-paid healthcare and will receive an increase in their annual shoe allowance.

Finally, new members will now have the opportunity to have union orientation to learn about the union difference. A union representative or shop steward will now have a designated time to meet new members and properly welcome them into UFCW Local 152. Since many have never worked in union positions before, these orientations are crucial to teach new workers about their collective bargaining agreement, the benefits of their contract, what union representation means, and of course the many benefits and discounts available as a union member.
