Samuels and Son Seafood Drivers and Dockworkers Ratify New Contract – 4/28/2022

Members of Samuels and Son at the ratification meeting on 4/28/22.

On Thursday, April 28th, more than one hundred drivers and dockworkers at Samuels and Son Seafood in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ratified a new union contract!

With the new three-year agreement, all members will receive an immediate 10% wage increase! In addition to yearly wage increases, employer-sponsored contributions to the 401K plan will expand annually as well. These additions should help to ensure a secure and more comfortable retirement for our members. And finally, members will now receive additional PTO days.

Congratulations to our members! Special thanks to the Negotiating Committee for your hard work on this contract. The committee consisted of Director of Collective Bargaining Dan Ross, Union Representative Matte Kane, Chief Steward Ernest Dunmore, Shop Steward Matt Miller, and Committee members Chad Harper and Greg Zin. Great job, everyone!

UFCW Local 152 represents more than one hundred drivers and dockworkers at Samuels and Son Seafood, a wholesale market offering an extensive selection of high-quality seafood products.
